印尼遭逢十多年來最嚴重的森林大火，引發有毒霾害，威脅當地居民健康。當局出動氧氣公車巡迴社區，在車內為居民提供氧氣治療，只是這方法治標不治本，只能暫時緩解居民呼吸不適。
印尼中加里曼丹省帕朗卡拉亞市政府緊急在當地推出「氧氣公車」，為呼吸困難的居民提供氧氣。印尼居民希望政府能推出更多氧氣公車，協助解決相關問題，尤其對患有先天性疾病的民眾來說，更具有重大意義。
印尼居民指出，前往醫療中心需要走很遠的路，相較之下，氧氣巴士能直接來到居民身邊，讓就醫更加便利。光是在這片黃澄澄的霾害中走路到醫院，就快讓人喘不過氣。氧氣公車會在社區巡迴，居民每次上車能吸氧5到10分鐘，暫時緩解不適。氧氣巴士醫務人員指出，這裡接診的病例種類繁多，但大多與呼吸系統疾病有關。

大人小孩都會把握機會上車吸氧，只是一下車又要面對刺鼻霧霾。根據印尼衛生部統計，與森林大火相關的呼吸道疾病病例持續攀升，8月至今全國累計約35萬例，光是中加里曼丹省就通報超過3萬例。氧氣公車終究治標不治本，印尼人更期盼能盡快擺脫這場空污危機。

Indonesia’s seasonal forest fires, mainly in Borneo and Sumatra, are the most intense in more than a decade this year. The super El Niño has driven up temperatures, leaving the country vulnerable to fires that have turned skies orange across Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
